This summer will see a major improvement to the rugby facilities at BLYTH RFC with a long awaited upgrade of our pitch floodlights from Halogen lamps to modern and much more efficient LED floodlights.
This major upgrade is only possible as a result of generous support from Northumberland County Council.
The upgrade will significantly reduce our energy consumption by up to 80% when lighting the pitch for training sessions and matches for all our teams across the youth and senior rugby sections. This will provide vital savings to our expenditure and will release funds to be re-invested elsewhere at the club all with the intention of improving facilities on site for all.
