**Blyth RFC June 2025 Club Update: A Season of Progress and Optimism**

As we wrap up a challenging yet inspiring season, Blyth RFC reflects on progress made both on and off the pitch. Thanks to our incredible volunteers, players, coaches, sponsors, and supporters, we head into the 25/26 season with momentum and optimism.

We’re proud to announce we’ve retained our N\&D Division 2 status—offering a strong foundation to grow our young team under Scott’s captaincy and Andrew’s coaching leadership. Financially, the club is in a solid position, enabling exciting new membership options and continued facility investments.

Our infrastructure continues to evolve, with over £136,000 in funding secured since 2023. Highlights include a new tractor for pitch maintenance (lovingly named “Mel” in memory of club legend Mel Cole), planning for new floodlights and storage, and significant clubhouse renovations.

Our annual dinner, memorable as ever, celebrated our players and the community spirit that defines Blyth RFC. Special congratulations go to Eddie Hogg—our flying winger, club top try scorer, and now a U20 County representative!

We’re also proud to support fantastic fundraising efforts like the “Rhino2Ollie9” triathlon challenge for Action Medical Research, and our annual Blyton vs Hogs charity match raised nearly £7,000.

Looking ahead, new post protector wraps now showcase our youth and senior identity, Touch and Walking Rugby will launch in July, and our events calendar is packed. Volunteer opportunities are available and vital—check our website for more.
